Cupertino Academy was created out of recognition of the difficulties persons with Autism face in acquiring academic knowledge, social and life skills, as well as learning to communicate and self-regulate.
With the caveat: ”all persons are unique,” there is no road map or instruction manual that parents, siblings, educators, caregivers, professionals-including Doctors, nurses, EMTs and police can use that allows communication and cooperation to occur.
Based on these premises, Cupertino Academy was created as a 501-c3 non-profit organization to give the individual with a disability, their families, services providers and the community at large, a resource center that provides:
- A School
- An advocacy/tutoring agency
- Training and resources
- Ongoing development or acquisition of any other resource our customers need to foster their independence and integration into their social environments.
